I know that have a good lesson plan is important and during my practice I have tried to put it in practice but I have had problems because the children dont see me as their teacher and dont see the english class as an important class because is not their hometeacher who is teaching. I am worried about that because i dont want get stress neither give up.
we as teachers have to control all the aspects of our class: we have to provide most comfortable enviroment and use the best way to use the discipline, mainly, when our stuidents are between 5-7 years because they´re looking for a father/mother and over all a friend.
COMMENTARY 1
Pre-school children during their second language acquisition process could go over stages where aren´t sure the words they want to say and don’t know how express their feelings and needs, use mimicry and object to communicate their intentions, are silent people, like simple and full of drawings stories, look for shared readings, begin to understand simple texts and songs, show physical response when the teacher use commands, sometimes and only some of them participate in simple conversations and known topics. So our role in the classroom has to affirm and strengthen their first language innate skills to acquire in the best way the second language.
COMMENTARY 2
Classroom management and discipline aren´t only requirements to have a good class are tools that we as creative teachers must know to use to have the attention of everyone in our classroom it is important to take into account these techniques: focusing (know how demand attention before begin our classes), direct instruction (establish the rules and the time for do each activity), monitoring(get around the room and don´t interrupt the class unless we notice several students have the same difficulty), modeling (teach being an example: “they do like us, no as we say”), non-verbal cuing(use no oral and face expressions to communicate different things in the classroom), environmental control(give to our students the conditions they need to learn through the things they like), low-profile intervention(anticipate problems before they occur), assertive discipline(establish rules to be laid out and enforced), assertive messages(confront the student who is misbehaving), humanistic messages(show us as human beings before simple professionals), positive discipline(use praises when our students respect class rules ).
COMMENTARY 3
We as teachers have to devise lesson plans, activities and seating arrangement which allow us to have a good classroom management, be firm, be supportive and friendly with students, to provide an environment where the students feel safe and secure, and learn students' names because when we call a student by his or her name early in the year gives the student an increased sense of well being. It also gives us greater and more effective control of indiscipline situations.

From my own experience, as probably I have been commenting during the practicum, I've been having many discipline problems as with fourth grade as with second grade, the thing is that children's attention span is only for 10 or 15 minutes max. so, the important thing is to design good lesson plan taking into account the anticipated problems that can appear duing a class in order to have a good class management, an active role of the students and also be firm, and at the same time, be friendly with students, the most important is to get students into a setting where they feel comfortable for learning and to provide with a good and funny teaching because remember: you are dealing with kids and they don't like a teacher who all class time is lecturing or filling in the board with words, they like practical teachers.
We know that it is so hard to catch the students' attention and it is also so easy to lose it. In this way, I am worried because I need to find some strategies to maintain it during more time.
In my experience I have had difficulties with this because as Alejandra said before one of the problems is that some students don't see us as teachers at all, in my case in fifth grade I have a boy who doesn't work in class, doesn't do the homework and only wants to talk and bother. When I called him the attention he tended to challenge me and it does that the discipline of the whole group changes, so my question is what can I do to manage that situation with that boy?
the discipline is somenting hard in the classroom management, but it can be eassier if you in some classes give reinforces.
for example one day I asked to my students stick a human firgure as homework at the end of the class when te topic was explained I asked that the three students give me the assigment,like a competence, so the students that did the homework could participate by the price and the others that didnt do the homework learn that they have to be responsible with their homeworks
To have a lesson plan with lots of motivation is difficult at first time you face a group of children, but i think that after your practicum have begun you can find more things that can help your students to get motivated; for example your attitude is very important when you are working with them, because they realize when you are happy, with energy or when you are down, they also receive this information and act according to that. Besides, there is another important thing in the discipline management, and is that when you have a student who bother others you have to figure out if the student catches the information quickly or if the student works quickly or both; and if this happens you can delegate to your student a function into the classroom in order to get the student feel important not ignored by his/her teacher, and i think is good way to motivate them and to teach them to work on group or to spend time with activities, instead of bothering others.
I have had discipline problems specially in second grade where the most of students need a lot of guidance. When I ask students to do something each one of them start asking all the time how to do things detail by detail, they want that I check step by step everything they do, they are also complaining about what the other students do even when it does not affect them. I know I am supposed to solve all those situations so I try to listen to each student one by one because all of them have different requirements, but when I am paying attention to one kid, the students who are not being seen start playing, running, yelling or doing whatever different from the class while they wait to my consultancy. During the time of practice and production the classroom seem to be in permanent chaos, there are students who take advantage of the chaos and do nothing, just bother, the few students who work quickly and without too much guidance finish and start bothering the others, and students who work slow and need too much guidance almost never finish to do the activities for the class. This happen in every class and I really do not what to do.

According to what we(students and teachers)agreed and was included in the syllabus given by me at the beginning of the semester, discussions on several readings will be held during the semster and along wityh the practicum sessions.That meman,in other words,you are being evaluated for this participation.
Unfortunatelly,most of the students
of this practicum are not aware of the importance of these discussions
and have left classwork behind.
The ones who particpate here are achieving and working on the objectives of the Practicum are doing well.
